Miss Shayla

Hello! I am teaching Montessori Grade One this year. This is my seventh year at Mother Teresa and it brings me so much joy to see previously taught students in the halls. It is a blessing to come and spend my days with so many smiling and loving littles. I graduated from the TEN program through the University of Alberta and have enjoyed staying in Grande Prairie to continue my teaching career in the Catholic District. I love searching for new ways to incorporate movement and social-emotional learning practices in the classroom!

When I am not teaching, I love to spend time outdoors with my husband, son and dog. I enjoy traveling especially with my parents. I like trying new activities and finding joy in little parts of each day.
