Miss Aaliyah

Hello! My name is Aaliyah Rowland, and I was raised in the Grande Prairie area, specifically in Clairmont. I graduated from high school in Sexsmith and completed the TEN program at the University of Alberta in 2019. Since then, I’ve been proud to be part of the Grande Prairie Catholic District.

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching kindergarten, as well as grades two, six, and seven at Mother Teresa, and grade one at St. Clement. This year, I’m excited to be teaching grade seven again, working with an amazing group of students!

Mother Teresa is such a wonderful place for educators, where we get to share the joy of learning while creating safe, inclusive environments for our students. What I love most about teaching is seeing my students every day, building strong relationships, watching them grow academically, and celebrating their successes. The students and staff make teaching at our Catholic School the most rewarding career!

Outside of school, I have a wonderful husband and a son who’s in high school. When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family, playing video games, cooking, reading, and enjoying Korean dramas and anime.
