Mrs. Heather Fillatre
Hello, my name is Heather, and I am excited to be joining the Montessori community at Mother Teresa this year as a Kindergarten teacher. With over 12 years of teaching experience in Alberta, I am passionate about fostering a positive learning environment. My family and I recently relocated to Grande Prairie, and I am grateful for the warm welcome I have received at MT.
I am a strong advocate for the belief that students learn most effectively through play and exploration. I strive to create an environment that fosters opportunities for students to engage, explore, and thrive in their learning journey. “Play is the work of the child.” - Maria Montessori
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, participating in activities such as swimming, camping, and quad riding.
