Ms. Genevieve Payeur

Hello - my name is Genevieve Payeur and I have lived in the Peace Country since Grade 11, graduating from Beaverlodge High School in 1990.  After completing my diploma at NAIT, I moved to Spirit River and worked in an environmental analysis lab for the Oil and Gas Industry for 17 years.  I then went back to university to complete my education degree and have been working for Grande Prairie Catholic since 2014.  I started with Junior High Math and FSL in Sexsmith, then Senior High Sciences in Fairview and I now lead the Junior High Life Skills program at Mother Teresa.  Recently, I have taken the role of President for ATA Local 42 representing Catholic teachers for GPCSD.  My husband and I have raised our family in Spirit River, and we now have three in university and one in their last years of high school.  Of all the places I have lived, the Peace Country is by far the most beautiful across all of the seasons!
