It’s Christmastime in our hometown

and everybody’s here.

We’ll celebrate the Baby’s birth

 with lots of Christmas cheer.

We’ve loads of gifts and goodies now,

and apple cider too!

The people wave and greet their friends,

a big “Howdy Do” to you! (x2

)Just bring your friends and neighbours too,

and we’ll have lots of fun!

With people who are new to you,

there’s room for everyone!

A Christmas in the country is the only way to go!

We’ve evergreens and candy canes,

and lots of mistletoe!  Oh!

With lots of mistletoe!

Hang the holly!  Trim the tree

with red and green and blue!

Happy times for you and me;

a big “Howdy do” to you!

Come take your neighbours by the hand

and spread the joy around.

Just see our winter wonderland

and hear our country sound!

The horses “neigh”,

the piggies “snort”

the cows are singing “moo!”

It’s Christmas in the country,

so a big “Howdy do” to you!

Custard Country has it all!  A perfect holiday!

Join the party now, ya’all,

Let’s all shout “Hoo-ray!”

The horses “neigh”,

the piggies “snort”

the cows are singing “moo!”

It’s Christmas in the country,

so a big “Howdy do” to you!

A big “Howdy do” to you!

Oh a big “Howdy do” to you!  YA Hoo!

Oh I just can’t help but ponder,

 one night in Bethlehem town.

It causes me to wonder; it causes me to frown.

One cold night in December,

Mary needed a bed,

so they knocked on a window,                          but here’s what the innkeeper said!

Joe had no reservation,

Joe did not call ahead!

Mary needed a bedroom-                                 but found a stable instead!

“No, we won’t leave the light on.                There’s no room for a bride and a groom!

So you might as well keep on walkin’,              for we don’t have -                     any room.

I have friends by the dozen,                                    like Katie, Angel and Bob.

So why do I have a cousin,                              who acts like such a big snob?

“No, I won’t leave the light on.                            Why don’t you go away?

Oh you might as well keep on walkin’,

and find a new place to stay.

No, she won’t leave the light on!                            She does not like her kin.

So he might as well keep on walkin’

‘Cause there’s no room at her inn.  No room at her inn!

Year and year out, what’s it all about?

What is this meaning of Christmas?

What is it for?  What is it worth?

What of this Child and miraculous birth?

Where is the peace?  Where is the love?   Where is the hope?

Where is the joy in the world?

Knowing it’s true, what will we do?

Will we start loving and caring?

With God’s own Son sent from above,

will we start giving and sharing our love?

Where is the peace? Where is the love?

Where is the hope?

Where is the joy in the world?    X2

Where is the love?

Where is the hope?

Where is the joy in the world?

Does it all just come down to one little boy?

Tell me, where is the joy in the world?

Everybody come gather round,       pick your feet up off the ground!                                             Make a rollicking, rootin’ sound.  Gon’na have a country Christmas.

Bring your mother and bring your dad.   Finest day we’ve ever had.                                             Spend a holiday clad in plaid.  Gon’na have a country Christmas.

Singing Jingle Bells as we go - on a sleigh ride through the snow.

Ridin’ merrily to and fro, Gonna have a country Christmas!

Deck the halls with boughs of holly,      Fa la la la la, la la la la!                                                     ‘Tis the season to be jolly, Fa la la la la, la la la la!

Don we now our gay apparel, Fa la la la la,la...la!

Troll the ancient yuletide carol,      Fa la la la la,    la la la la!

Angels We Have Heard

Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing o’er the plain,

And he mountains in reply, echoing their joyous strain!

Glo----ri-a!  In excelsis deo (x2)

Halleluia! Halleluia! Halleluia! Halleluia!

Everybody come gather ‘round.

Pick your feet up off the ground.

 Make a rollicking, rootin’ sound!

Gonna have a country,  Gotta have a country,  Gonna have a country -  Christmas!

Moses led his people out of Israel; they were lost, afraid, and felt alone.

Wandering in the wilderness for forty years or more,

Frightened but they prayed with all their hearts.

Praying:   Show us the way Lord, show us the way!  Turn away the dark Lord,

Show us the way.

Jonah found himself inside the belly of a whale.

He was lost, afraid and felt alone!

Still he turned his head and heart to what he knew was true.

He knew God would show him what to do.

Praying: Show us the way Lord,    show us the way!

Turn away the dark Lord,   show us the way.

Mary heard the message that she was with child.

She was lost, afraid and felt alone.

Joseph took her by the hand,    they walked to Bethlehem,

and to God they offered up their hearts.

Praying: Show us the way Lord,   show us the way!

Turn away the dark Lord,

Show us the way.

O come, O come Emmanuel,

And ransom captive Israel.

O come, O come Emmanuel!
