Miss Karissa

 

I was born and raised in Grande Prairie. Growing up, I attended St. Patrick's Catholic School and St. Joseph High School. One thing I love to do is travel. A few places I have been to include Malawi, Zambia, and Uganda. I have a green thumb for plants, my classroom is filled with a variety of plants for my students to enjoy.

 

As a teacher, I strive to create a warm and welcoming classroom environment where students know they are cared for and supported. In my classroom I encourage all my students to have a growth mindset, the idea that, with effort you can increase your talents and abilities. I teach my students to persevere through challenges and embrace their mistakes as learning opportunities.
