Miss Sonja

 

Hello, my name is Sonja Devantier. I will be standing in for Ms. Ashley whiles she is away on maternity leave. This will be my second year at Mother Teresa School. I received my Bachelor of Communication degree at the University of Natal, South Africa. I have previously taught Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2. I have a passion for teaching, reading and seeing children succeed! After moving to Edmonton, Canada, I completed my certificate of Education at the University of Alberta.

 

I moved to Grande Prairie in October 2021 and have really enjoyed settling and teaching here. I thoroughly enjoy teaching at MT and seeing the joy on children's faces when they learn something new. I also love seeing them grow in their faith as we learn together.

 

When I am not teaching, i enjoy biking, swimming, or hiking with my family.
